The familiar concept with poems from 'The last night of the earth poems' and the preludes and fugues from 'The Well-tempered Clavier'.

The album, on the EtceteraNOW label, are 9 new Bach-Bukowski-songs. 8 other songs have been rerecorded. According to Willem this album excells the previous editions in every aspect!

Producer Joost Dellebarre gave it an even more international charisma.

From the CD TRIPLE you can clearly tell that Willem van Ekeren has been on stage with Bach-Bukowski for many years.

Also this time every BB-song is recorded at once -piano and vocals at the same time-, although we chose another recording technique this time.

Bach‘s baroque music and Bukowski’s hard-driven lines sound simultaneously on Willem van Ekeren’s CD.

The album exists of thirteen of the poems of Bukowski’s ‘The last night of the earth poems’ woven together by Willem with 13 parts of the ‘Well-tempered keyboard’ of Bach.

'Natural acoustics' has been the basis in the process of producing this CD. Bach-Bukowski has been recorded -singing and piano at the same time- with only one adapted stereo-microphone, and no sound-editing has taken place.

For the Rich

Whilst playing the guitar, Willem van Ekeren has written about 50 songs during the early nineties. Together with Paul Prins and Frank Papendrecht he formed the chamber-pop trio Beatty AcqueMAI.

Soon they gave quite a few concerts. The best songs are recorded on the CD ‘For the Rich’.
