'Natural acoustics' has been
the basis in the process of producing this CD. Bach-Bukowski has
been recorded -singing and piano at the same time- with only one
adapted stereo-microphone, and no sound-editing has taken place.
The equipment was specially developed by Lujo van Gestel using techniques
based on old physical laws still vivid, for example in the soefism.
This way the 3 dimensionality of the natural sound remains saved
in the reproduction.
Volkskrant,
August 7, 2003, Roland de Beer
"...subtle tonal coherance......The result moves, and sounds
more sincere than all Bach arrangements of the polished Hilliards,
Jacques Loussiers and Swingle Singers together." |
|
NRC-Handelsblad,
August 5, 2003, Kester Freriks
"...Van Ekeren reaches a great hight in bringing together
this composer and author. Bach and Bukowski show a relationship
of soul, which is an exciting surprise." |

Het
Parool, July 5, 2003, Bob Frommé
"....The cd is insane....You cannot believe what you hear....." |
|
Het
Parool, June 6, 2003, Jos Bloemkolk
"Each time Van Ekeren plays the complete piece of Bach
and sings to it the complete poem. And it seems as if they are
made for each other...." |
